For eight long months, a gentle dog now known as Titan lived at a gas station. He slept outside, wandered the parking lot looking for food, and relied on the kindness of strangers to survive. Many people stopped to feed him, speak to him, and show him love. Even without a home, Titan clearly touched a lot of hearts.
Earlier this week, Anakin’s Trails received a call asking for help. Several team members went to check on Titan and were immediately concerned. He looked tired, sad, and worn down from life on the streets. As colder weather moved in, volunteers brought blankets and beds so he could at least have something warm to rest on.
Soon after, Titan began showing unusual behavior, including crossing a busy highway. That made the situation urgent. The risk to his life was simply too great to wait any longer.
Volunteers gathered to set a humane trap and carefully guide Titan to safety using food. After a tense but hopeful wait, Titan walked into the trap—and the door closed behind him.
He was finally safe.
A few hours later, Titan was picked up by Hounds-n-Hoofs Rescue and transported to begin the next chapter of his life, where he will have shelter, warmth, and the medical care he needs.
At Anakin’s Trails, we are not a rescue. We are a stray and pet recovery organization that helps locate, trap, and recover lost pets and stray animals so pets can be reunited with their families and strays can find the new, forever family.
Titan’s story is a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together. From gas station employees to passing motorists to volunteers, so many people played a role in keeping him alive and helping him reach safety.
No more sleeping on cold concrete, Titan. Your future is brighter from here. 🐾❤️
