✔️✔️ WE GOT FAITH! ✔️✔️

A Familiar Face, But Nowhere to Call Home

For over three months, a young German Shepherd was spotted near Pelham Road, roaming through neighborhoods and crossing busy streets. She had no collar, no family looking for her—just survival instincts and the kindness of strangers who left food for her.

But while she avoided humans, she had chosen one unexpected friend—Scout, a beloved Aussie who lived in the neighborhood.

Every day when Scout went outside, Faith would appear, wagging her tail, ready to play. But no matter how much she wanted to trust, she always kept her distance.

One thing was clear: this dog wasn’t just passing through—she was trying to belong.

That’s when a compassionate woman reached out to Anakin’s Trails. Faith needed more than just food—she needed a way home.

Setting the Trap

We arrived on a Friday afternoon to launch a trap in the one place she felt safe—Scout’s backyard.

As we set up, Faith peeked around the corner, watching curiously. She was hungry, she was interested, and she was comfortable in the area.

That night, she walked right in.

Easy catch, right?

Not so fast.

A Terrifying Chase

The next morning, we returned, expecting to bring Faith home.

Instead, we got a call—she was spotted miles away, sleeping by a pool in another neighborhood.

The sun set, the cold rolled in, and she refused to come back to the trap.

Then, just minutes after we had left, Faith raced back to Scout’s house in a panicbut she wasn’t alone.

💥 A COYOTE WAS CHASING HER. 💥

She bolted straight to Scout’s back door, begging to be let inside.

But when Scout’s owner gasped in shock, Faith hesitated—just long enough for fear to take over again.

And then… she was gone.

She didn’t even touch her dinner that night.

The Final Attempt

The next morning, Faith was spotted again—this time, sunbathing in an open field, trying to recover from her terrifying night.

We refreshed the bait.We watched the cameras. We waited.

By Sunday evening, we knew it was now or never.

Then—another obstacle.

🚧 The cable company sent a technician next door. At 6 PM. On a Sunday. 🚧

(We honestly couldn’t make this stuff up if we tried.)

Faith vanished again.

But once the neighborhood finally quieted down, she returned—hungry, exhausted, and out of options.

This time, no coyote was chasing her.No distractions. No delays.

She walked in.

💥 FAITH WAS SAFE! 💥

A Heartbreaking Discovery

As we approached the trap, we saw something horrifying.

Around Faith’s neck was a deeply embedded electric shock collar.

The prongs had dug into her skin for months—maybe even since she was a puppy—causing infection and painful wounds.

Someone had left her to suffer.

We removed it immediately, and she’s already on her way to the vet.

💔 Some people don’t deserve the love of a dog. But Faith does.

A New Beginning

🚫 No more dodging cars.🚫 No more nights alone in the cold.🚫 No more running from predators.

🐾 Faith, you are safe. 🐾

Now, she’ll get to chase balls with her Aussie foster siblings instead of running for her life.

Thank you to everyone who helped Faith’s journey to safety!
