✔️✔️ WE GOT MISS BLONDIE! ✔️✔️

A Long Road to Safety for a Mama on the Run

Southern counties. That’s where we do most of our work. That’s where most dogs are dumped—left behind by people who see them as disposable. It’s heartbreaking.

But every now and then, people cross our path who restore our faith in humanity.

People like Karen and Marla, who were determined to help a sweet, injured mama dog roaming the backroads of Gray Court, SC.

A Desperate Search for a Mama and Her Puppies

Three weeks ago, Team member Beth and I got the call.

A severely emaciated mama dog had been seen wandering the area, and there were rumors she’d had puppies. We had one rule:

👉 NEVER take the mother without confirming where the puppies are.

With that, we called in Love 2 Fly - Drone Works to search from the skies. But after hours of scanning, there were no signs of puppies.

So, we hit the ground.

🛺 Beth and I rode through the area on a golf cart with Karen and Marla, placing two heavily baited food stations. Now, all we could do was wait.📸 Five days later, the cameras picked up movement.

🎉 THERE SHE WAS! 🎉

But our excitement was short-lived. She was injured.

Tracking a Ghost

We needed to follow her back to her den. John Pero's drone service stepped in, successfully tracking Blondie down the road to an old shed.

The next day, Karen and I made our way to the shed—me crawling under a barbed wire fence (only to realize Karen had opened the gate for me on the other side! 😂).

We left a fresh food station and ended the day with warm banana nut bread and a prayer—hoping Blondie would come back.

But just as she was getting comfortable, she was chased off by another dog on the property. Days passed. No sightings.

Had we lost her?

A Last-Ditch Effort

We refused to give up. Blondie was still out there.

With nothing to go on, we decided to take a shot in the dark—Team members Lisa and Sharon set up a food station in a completely new location based on a hunch.

🕵️‍♀️ Sharon noticed a fence with worn-down paths—too small for a deer, but just right for a stray dog.📍 They set the food station. And waited…

24 hours…36 hours…48 hours…72 hours…

📸 BLONDIE WAS BACK!

After nine days of complete radio silence, she finally appeared on camera! But she was still limping, her injury getting worse.

There was no more time to waste.

The Chase Is On!

🚨 Monday morning, the trap went up! 🚨

Team members Mike, Joyce, Sharon, and I hiked through powerline trails, dodging rocks, barbed wire, and branches to find the perfect spot. Karen met us with drinks to keep us going!

We set a camo trap, baited it heavily, and used our leapfrog method to build her confidence.

Then, we waited for nightfall.

Except Blondie had other plans.

3:00 PM—she appeared on camera IN BROAD DAYLIGHT!

😱 WHAT?! She had never come this early before!

The team scrambled into action. Joyce rushed to fix the trap’s mechanics, Beth and Sharon got the trap fully operational, and we crossed our fingers.

Finally… Safety!

That night, as I was preparing for a presentation, my phone buzzed.

📸 BLONDIE WAS IN THE TRAP! 📸

🎉 SHE WAS SAFE!! 🎉

In the pitch-black night, Joyce, Sharon, Beth, and Lisa rushed down the hill, their flashlights bouncing off the trees. And there, waiting patiently, was Blondie—her sweet, docile face staring back at them.

How could anyone do this to her?

When we finally got close, the heartbreaking truth was revealed…

Her body was frail. Her leg was injured. She had been bred and abandoned.

💔 Her puppies were gone. 💔

But her suffering ended that night.

A New Beginning

🚫 No more being dumped and forgotten.🚫 No more searching for food.🚫 No more pain.

🐾 Miss Blondie, you are SAFE! 🐾

She’s on her way to Final Victory Animal Rescue, where she’ll finally know what it means to be loved and cared for. ❤️

🙏 A special thank you to Karen, Marla, and Mari Heather—the Gray Court Crew—for never giving up on her!

📢 If you’d like to help with Blondie’s medical care, please send pledges to Final Victory Animal Rescue!
