Joyce is a key figure in the Anakin’s Trails team, bringing ingenuity, dedication, and heart to the organization. Alongside her husband, Terry, and friends Debbie and Tommy, Joyce played a critical role in designing and building the very first “Anakin Missy” trap—a groundbreaking tool that made capturing Anakin possible when other methods failed. This collaborative effort marked the beginning of a new chapter for the organization.

Known as Ashley’s “right-hand man,” Joyce steps up to lead operations whenever Ashley is out of state, ensuring the organization continues to run smoothly. She is also the proud owner of Precious, the very first dog ever rescued using the Anakin Missy trap—a testament to her unwavering commitment to helping animals in need.

Now retired, Joyce enjoys spending her days with her husband, family, and friends, as well as contributing to the mission of Anakin’s Trails. Her husband, Terry, is a valued handyman for the organization, adding even more strength to their partnership. Joyce’s hands-on roles include trapping, retrieving traps, baiting, client intake, and spreading awareness by hanging flyers. Her passion and reliability make her an integral part of Anakin’s Trails.
