Debbie serves as the Co-Director, Secretary, and a dedicated board member of Anakin’s Trails. Together with her husband, Tommy, and the collaborative efforts of Joyce and Terry, Debbie played a pivotal role in creating the first-ever “Anakin Missy” trap—a lifesaving innovation that is now used daily to rescue animals in need. Debbie’s involvement since the organization’s inception has been instrumental in shaping its success and impact.

Affectionately known as the team’s “Cat Whisperer,” Debbie brings a special skillset to the organization, especially when feline rescues are required. In addition to her role at Anakin’s Trails, Debbie is a nurse, balancing her professional career with her passion for animal rescue. On weekends, she dedicates her time to trapping and other organizational efforts.

Debbie and Tommy are proud owners of Riggs, one of the rescue pups saved through Anakin’s Trails, and they continue to contribute to the mission as trap holders and active participants in operations. Tommy also supports the organization as a handyman, ensuring all tools and equipment are in top shape. Debbie’s roles include trapping, trap retrieval, baiting, merchandise coordination, and specialized cat trapping, making her an indispensable part of the Anakin’s Trails family.
